BrandX Research Rocket Motors are now available from 24mm to 98mm and above. All aluminum Cases and Forward closures are machined from 6061-T6 stock. Graphite Nozzles are machined with a liner shoulder and divergent /convergent cones, that have a mimimum 4:1 expansion ratio, providing optimal performance for the amateur hobbyist.
38mm-98mm forward closures come drilled and tapped for an eyebolt or extraction.
Snap-ring type cases come with external retainer rings and will fit AeroPack retainers. The aft end is knurled for easy extraction from your rocket’s motor mount.
BrandX Research Motor cases can accomodate most commercial reloads.
BrandX 24mm and 29mm LPR Research Rocket Motors are now available as complete assemblies. These were specifically designed with the expermental rocketeer in mind. All consumables are easily available and can be purchased here. The motor classes range from “F” to “I” and are easy to assemble and clean.
A multi use, forward delay ejection closure can be quickly converted to a solid plugged closure or smoke grain closure with no ejection. This forward closure gives the modeler flexability to use as single deploy motor ejection with delay, dual deploy motor ejection with delay, single deploy avionics with or without a smoke grain or dual deploy avionics with or without a smoke grain.
The delay grains or smoke grains use an exclusive non-oring style seal that prevents any blowby and assures a postive lock in the delay cavity. The closures hold “full length” 24mm-HDK(23) or 29mm-RDK(16) delays. This gives flexability for researching different delay times that you may need.
