First production produced a mandrel with a 5/8” center core and a 1/8” slot extending to the casting wall. 54mm geometry in the J-K class.
Specially designed aligning caps are to be produced to fit the mandrels.

Objective
Maximum inital thrust w/ a neutral long burn, reducing casting wall exposure compared to full offset.

Some sims show a regressive trailing w/ a single grain. A bates grain could more neutral.

54mm 1G 10”L using .625” core w/ 0.125” thick x 0.570” wide slotted core, 0.485 nozzle throat. Slot is extended to casting wall.
